Percussionists of any nationality, born after January 1st 1983, may participate in the selection.
Applications to participate in the selection must be submitted no later than 30th January 2018, fulfilling the form available online at the following link:

In the enrollment form you’ll be asked to attach:
– a curriculum vitae (pdf)
– his/her own repertoire of music of the 1900s to nowadays,
– the list of compositions object of the study
– link to an audio or video registration (if any) of the candidate’s performance of works in line with the repertoire of the course

Candidates will be selected on the basis of the documentation submitted. The result of the selection will be communicated to all applicants by email no later than 12TH February 2018.
A maximum number of 10 students will be selected for admission.

Participation Fee
Participant: € 400 (to be paied within February 28th 2018)
Observer: € 50 (to be paied within April 13th, 2018)

Structure of the masterclass
The masterclass will be six days long, form April 13th to 18th, with the following calendar:
13th-17th April:
10,00-13,00 rehearsals compositions for ensemble (M° Mortensen, room 1)
13,00-17,00 individual lessons (1° assistant, room 2)
15,00-19,00 individual lessons (M° Mortensen, room 1)
17,00-21,00 individual lessons (2°assistant, room 2)
18th April
Final concert in Milan (Palazzina Liberty), within Rondò 2018 concert season.
All admitted students will perform in the final concert.

Each student will be entitled to:
2 individual lessons (50’ each) with the main teacher,
2 individual lessons (50’ each) with each of the two assistants
and 10/15 ensemble compositions rehearsal hours, conducted by M° Mortensen.
Individual lessons will be carried out on pieces chosen by the student among those suggested by the course.
When applying, students can also show a repertoire different from the one suggested by the announcement, which will have to be approved by the teacher.

Rehearsals and individual lessons: Milan, Fabbrica del Vapore, IDEA seat, via Procaccini (room 1 and 2)

Divertimento Ensemble is appealing the Milanese citizens who love music to host free of charge the young performers who will be selected to the Masterclass during the whole period of the Course (April 12th to 19th).
The accomodations available will be communicated to the admitted students starting from february 28th, 2018, who could present themselves as candidates for the accomodation by filling in a form on the website
