CALL FOR YOUNG PERFORMERS

STRUCTURE OF THE COURSE
The course will foresee six meetings (two days each, on Saturdays and Sundays) from October 2019 to March 2020 and is dedicated to the latter production for saxophone solo or chamber music for saxophone.
Each student will be offered 6 individual lessons, each on one hour.
The repertoire studied will be performed at one concert in Milan on 31 March within Divertimento Ensemble’s 2020 Rondò Season, and will be replicated in other Italian cities.
A further concert in cooperation with the piano course (held by Maria Grazia Bellocchio) and voice course (held by Alda Caiello) organized by IDEA with a repertoire specifically written by young composers selected by our Academy will be performed on 5 May 2020.
All the selected saxophonists will participate in the concerts.
APPLICATION AND SELECTION
Application is open to saxophonists of any nationality, born after 1st january 1985.
Applications to participate must be submitted no later than 15 September 2019 filling in the form available online at the following:
In the enrollment form you’ll be asked to attach:
– copy of ID paper,
– a curriculum vitae (pdf),
– her/his own repertoire of music of the 1900s to nowadays,
– the list of compositions object of the study (among the proposed repertoire)
– other eventual compositions that could be object of study during the masterclass,
– link to an audio or video registration (if any) of the candidate’s performance of works in line with the repertoire of the course.

Candidates will be selected on the basis of the documentation submitted.
The result of the selection will be communicated to all applicants by email no later than September 23, 2019.
A maximum number of 12 students will be selected for admission.
