
He was born in Cuneo in 1992. He started studying guitar at the age of eight under the guidance of S.o Viada, graduating with 10 cum laude at the Conservatory “Giorgio Federico Ghedini” of Cuneo in 2010. He is currently studying with L. Biscaldi. In 2012 he held a live concert-interview at the Radio della Svizzera Italiana. His debut CD is included in the series “I maestri della chitarra” of the magazine “Seicorde”. Recently DaVinci records has released the complete guitar works by Antonio Giacometti, judged “CD of the month” by “Seicorde”.
He participated in the album Parade – Giorgio Colombo Taccani: Selected Guitar Works published by Guitart. He has played in duo with Ch. Saggese.
In 2017 he graduated in composition with full marks and praise under the guidance of G. Planesio at the Conservatory of Cuneo; he is currently deepening his studies with G. Colombo Taccani. He attended composition courses with S. Gervasoni, F. Filidei and F. Lévy.
He won the X composition competition organized by GAM in Milan, the II competition “Polifonie – Appassionato ensemble” in Como, the “39th Valentino Bucchi Prize” in Rome, the Call for Scores of EstOvest Festival (Turin). His music has been programmed in important festivals such as Rondò 2019 and Rondò 2020 (Divertimento Ensemble), ComoContemporanea, EstOvest Festival.
He is Composer in residence of Divertimento Ensemble for 2021.
His music has been performed by important ensembles such as Divertimento Ensemble with S. Gorli, New Ensemble Xenia Turin, Geneviève Létang, , Appassionato Ensemble, Quartetto Nous, Alberto Mesirca, and performers: C. Pasceri, D. Valabrega, G. Martinelli, A. Pisani.
He plays the electric bass in the group “Mistral Pusher”.
